Tonight’s episode of SmackDown proved to be great, featuring several captivating moments. The event took place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. However, the highlight that captivated audiences’ attention was the highly anticipated debut of former AEW star, Jade Cargill.

Following her official signing with the blue brand several weeks ago, WWE had announced Cargill’s appearance on Friday Night SmackDown on Raw this week. Cargill’s signing with WWE was announced last September, resulting in her first television appearance at Fastlane last October.

Jade Cargill made a grand entrance at the event, followed by a new theme song and greeted by an enthusiastic response from the audience. During her address, she expressed her readiness to assert dominance in the women’s division. With a proven track record as the longest-reigning champion in AEW, having held the inaugural TBS Championship for an impressive 508 days, Cargill showcased herself as a formidable contender deserving of an immediate title shot—a promise she fulfilled.

In the evening’s main event, Bianca Belair faced off against Dakota Kai of Damage CTRL. The match was a spectacle, captivating the audience as Belair secured victory with her signature move, the KOD, claiming the pinfall. However, the celebration was short-lived as members of Damage CTRL—comprising Iyo Sky, Asuka, and Kairi Sane—viciously attacked Belair and her ally Naomi, who had rushed to her aid.

Responding to the ambush, Jade Cargill came out, unleashing her force upon Damage CTRL. She swiftly incapacitated Iyo Sky, securing the pinfall amidst the roaring support of the fans. WWE promptly announced that at WrestleMania 40, Cargill, Belair, and Naomi would unite to confront Damage CTRL in a high-stakes 6-man tag match.

With WrestleMania on the horizon, the pressing question remains: will Jade Cargill lead her team to victory in her first match?
